"The City of Lights" is the location of great Aurora apartments. The name for this city was acquired in 1881 because it was one of the first cities in the United States to adopt an all electric street lighting system. But that's not the only reason you'd like to live in the second largest city in Illinois with around 170,000 people. The city sits on the beautiful Fox River, and is on the edge of the Illinois Technology and Research Corridor and is home to many manufacturing facilities.
In downtown, Aurora apartment-ites can find plenty of architectural landmarks and historical
locations, along with many quaint shops and restaurants, as well as larger department stores and chain restaurants. You won't go hungry looking for a place to eat here. Phillips Park Zoo, the David L. Pierce Art and History Center, the SciTech Interactive Science Museum, as well as other forms of learning and entertainment are found in this great city. The Paramount Theater, downtown and registered on the National Register of Historic Places, has recently undergone renovation and hosts many live performances throughout the year. Aurora is known for its host of entertainment facilities and performers.
Aurora is a great city for learning and raising a family, with three school districts and 47 schools, an excellent public library system with a main branch, two branches and a mobile library.
Any way you look at it, Aurora apartment-ites have lots to be happy about living here.
